Resurection.

Yep, Gail has now been resurrected,

I have successfully completed the first 38 rows, and am now up to row 35 of the first repeat....
this row is killing me, its the Double yarn over row!! need I say more,

Despite having ripped this whole thing numerous times, its starting to sink in.. I am impressed as its my first attempt at a large lace project, historically only ever having done lace socks before!!

There are a few imperfections, but hey this ones for me, so who's gonna notice except another knitter, and I only have 1 friend who knits occasionally!!

If I can get this conquered there is definately going to be another knit up as a Christmas gift for a friend, WITH BEADS!!

Weather here is miserable so cant get get a good photo in poor light, the last few pics of the dead Gail really don't show the glorious yarn, so will hope for a brief break in the clouds and rain to get a good picture to post.

Tomorrow I'm to the yarn store, its pay day!! and may well be tempted to buy some yarn to start my Babbette!!!

GAIL.

Well I started the shawl again this evening, and I have to say I am loving it.
The photo's dont do it justice and I will snap in daylight hours soon,
the pattern is so nice to knit, taking it slowly and using chart!!
I never thought that I would be able to knit something so beautifull...
I am so pleased with myself, I shall go to sleep now content that I can indeed atempt and conquer a lace pattern..

Holiday Knitting...

Well theres a big fat zero on that front...

took my wildflower socks, got to the toe on the first sock then lost the flow, surrounded by sea wasnt feeling the green....

.

so as had taken my gorgeuos Araucania Ruca Multi,

decided that I must stop coseting it and start knitting it, so, cast on for the northern lights shawl..., ripped, cast on, ripped, cast on, ripped.....

shit shit shit..not getting the pattern, and the pattern still not right for the yarn.

so cast on for the simple shawl..., getting on ok, but the araucania was to subtle and was thinking it to simple for the yarn.. so did no knitting therafter...

couldnt find a decent yarn store in the wilderness, so after much tutting decided on reading instead...

once home, surfed the net and have decided to use this pattern.. Gail..

wish me luck I sure do think Im going to need it, but its stunning...

A cornish escape......

We visited onE of Britains most haunbted sites..

BODMIN JAIL..

We had hot chocolate to chase the chills away...

we saw an amazing House...yes someone lives there.. lucky devils..

Rugged coastline...
