Wake up call.

Well on this holiday weekend we had great things planned, namely to head south to visit our dear friend Julia Bulia in Cornwall.

Well things in our house never go as planned and after a review of the finances decided that we couldn't afford to go.

We are heading down their for a week at May bank holiday so whilst sad that we are not going we will at least get there next month.

So decided rather than waste my leave days I would work Friday and Monday and get 2 extra days at some other point.
So Friday headed off to work, no problem, had a great day and got loads done. Relaxed evening at home with boys.
Saturday, well the sun was shining so thought I'd start on the spring cleaning.
Halfway through blitzing the front living room, new curtains, full clean, a little furniture removing, get a call from work, something serious was going down. So 5pm head off to work to help my deputy out.
Whilst at work get a call from hubby to say hes not feeling good. Advise him to phone nhs direct for advice.
Get home at 1am, he didn't phone for advice and hes not well. take his pulse and boy was it racing and very unsettled. Monitor him over night and decide he needs to see doctor.
So Sunday morning drop kids to grand parents and get hubby to hospital.
Spent day there with him strapped to heart monitors.
Now this was scary as hes only 43, never smoked in his life and is reasonably fit.
Well turns out he has supraventricular tachycardia......

''Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) causes episodes of a fast heartbeat. Palpitations and other symptoms may occur during each episode. Regular medication can prevent episodes of SVT. Another treatment option in some cases is to destroy a tiny part of the heart that 'triggers' the SVT.'

shit
life check time.

They released him last night but has to go in as out patient for more tests.
This means whole lifestyle change, especially for me as I'm the unfit unhealthy one, overweight, stressful job, minimal exercise, smoke, drink etc etc etc....

so today was meant to head into work, but you know what, I'm not going, its a bank holiday and I'm going to spend the day with my family....
I'm planning on housework, planting, walking the dog, eating a healthy ,meal and then have a quiet evening knitting, not drinking caffeine or alcohol and desperately going to try not to be tempted by all the Easter chocs!!!

I will, I promise post pics of knitting progress, swap packages and recent pics, i Just need the time to get around to doing it....
